Ingredients
Badakopi (Cabbage) - 1/2 in large head
Potato - 1 medium cut into cubes
Peas - 1/4 cup
Mustard oil -2Tbs
Whole Red Chili - 2 broken to into half
Panchphoran - 1 Ts
Ginger- 1 inch grated
Tumeric - 1Ts
Red chili powder - 1.5 Ts
Garam Masala - 1/4 Ts
Tomato - 2 medium
Salt to taste
Coriander to garnish
First.. chop the cabbage roughly..wash and strain all the water.. and cut the potato into cubes.. and thawa the peas if frozen...
Heat mustard oil in pan to smoking point.. add th panchphoran and red chili.. as it cracks add the potato and fry for about a min .. then add the ginger.. give stir for 4 seconds.. and add the cabbage and peas.. and fry for about 3 mins .. then add all the dry powders tumeric+red chili powder+garam masala+salt too and give fine stir..cover and cook for about 2 mins.. in the mean time finely chop tomato and add into the cabbage.. cook undercover for about 10 mins and serve with rice and dal or can be had with roti too...
