This is one light and kid friendly dish; especially with puri - they will just love it. For the mature folks in your household, squeeze in some green chilly for added zest!!
Ingredients:-
Paneer - 250 grms
Frozen peas - 1 Cup
Fennel Seeds - 3 tbsp
Ginger Paste - 1 Tbsp
Milk - 1 Cup
Green Chilly - 3 Slit
Bay Leaf - 2
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Garam Masala - 1/4 Tsp
Red Chilly Powder - 1/4 Tsp
Salt - 1/2 Tsp
Sugar - 1/4 Tsp
Directions
Heat Pan dry roast the fennel seeds
Set aside to cool
Then make fine powder
( this would be more what is required in recipe you can use this for garnishing other dishes )
In small bowl take 1.5 tbsp of fennel powder
to this add red chilly powder and garam masala powder mix it with 2 or 3 tbsp of water
Then add the ginger paste and mix and set aside
Take cubed paneer sprinkle some turmeric powder give nice rub and set aside
Heat pan pour 2 tbsp of mustard oil heat to smoking point
add the paneer and fry them till their edges get golden tinge and set aside in plate
To remain oil add bay leaf.. if you feel the oil is less add 1 tbsp ghee
as the bay leaf turn brown add the paste mix briskly and add the green chilly keep string continuously add salt fry till oil surfaces
Now add the main ingredients paneer and peas
( If forzen or fresh boil the peas then add)
Mix well and fry for 2 to 3 mins
Sprinkle some sugar pour milk about 1 cup mix Let it come to boil , cook undercover for 15 mins or oil surfaces
Serve warm with Puri or Parata.
